Other key rules

๐Ÿšซ Where you cannot use fireworks

  • On a public road or footpath
  • In a public park or open space without council permission
  • Within 50m of a building being used for healthcare
  • Near livestock, horses or other animals

๐Ÿšจ Penalties for misuse

Using fireworks during curfew hours, throwing or misusing fireworks in public, or selling to under-18s can result in fines of up to ยฃ5,000 and/or up to 6 months' imprisonment. Councils can also issue Fixed Penalty Notices of ยฃ90.
